This helpful YouTube link will bring you to the channel that Rob from Alpena has created and I have to admit is one of the sources that I gained the most knowledge. The videos are amazing with wide ranging topics including: rock tumbling (Rob has won awards for his tumbling), different techniques for shaping, reviews of lapidary equipment and amazing rock hunting videos with aerial footage.
